Please call one of these numbers if you are missed or need additional information. It is the goal of Richfield Equities and Novesta Township to satisfy all reasonable complaints in a timely matter.
Waste pickup is on every Thursday starting at 6:30 AM unless it is one of these holidays: News Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Recycling pickup is on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month except if those days fall on the above mentioned holidays. Please use blue recycling bins available by contacting a Novesta Township Official. Extra blue bins are available for $10.00 from Richfield.
If any of the holidays mentioned above fall on or before your scheduled day of service the actual collection day will be moved back by one day during that week only.
Please limit the weight of waste and recycling containers to 50 lbs. each. Any item that weighs more than 50 lbs.will be picked up by appointment only. Please call one of the above mentioned phone numbers to schedule a special pickup.
All refrigerators and freezers must have the Freon refrigerant removed prior to placing at the curb for pick up. Please contact Richfield Equities for Freon removal.
Please contact a Novesta Township Official if you are handicapped or incapable of setting your waste or recyclables at the curb. Special arrangements can be made with Richfield to handle these situations.
Richfield Equities is unable to collect used car and truck tires at the curb. Novesta Township will conduct at least one tire collection day per year at the Township Hall for township residents only. Only auto and pickup tires are permitted. No commercial operators allowed. Please watch for dates and times posted to this website or in the Cass City Chronicle for these special days.
