NEW BUSINESS:
9. There are 2 properties available to Novesta Township because
of property tax forfeiture to the Tuscola County Treasurer.
3320 Cemetery Rd. is a house in good repair which could be
renovated into a future township hall. This property has 11.76
acres with the back of the property suitable for cemetery
development. An estimate of $15,000 was received to tile the
complete property. 5870 Kelly Rd. has a house in disrepair
sitting on 9 acres. The location of this property is not optimal
for a hall or cemetery. Due to the fact that Novesta Township
is in need of more cemetery ground and our inability to
purchase land next to the existing cemetery and the condition
of the Novesta Township Hall it was motioned by Dale
Churchill and seconded by Ron Patera to purchase 3320
Cemetery Rd. for future development of a cemetery and
township hall by resolution voice vote. All board members
present voted "aye" to spend $ 5,971.20 to purchase this
property. Motion carried.
